Job summary

HNTB is hiring a Mechanical Engineer to assist in producing and modifying design calculations, technical reports and drawings for diverse infrastructure projects in Oakland. You will apply engineering methods, develop conceptual and detailed designs, and support project delivery with minimal direction while collaborating with project teams.

The role focuses on HVAC, plumbing, and fire life safety systems, with hands-on work in REVIT/AutoCAD and QA/QC responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering required.
• Ability to perform load analysis and HVAC design tasks.
• Familiarity with REVIT and AutoCAD.
• Willingness to work on multiple projects with minimal direction.

Responsibilities

• Complete assigned work within schedule and hours.
• Support preparation and modification of project reports, plans, designs, and calculations.
• Assist in preparing project quantity and cost estimates.
• Assist engineering teams with file organization and admin support.
• Support research, data collection, field investigations, and design tasks.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
