Job summary

HNTB Corporation in Oakland, CA is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to assist in producing and modifying design calculations, reports, and plans for diverse infrastructure projects. You will work with project teams to deliver HVAC, plumbing, and fire life safety designs and analyses.

Ideal candidates hold a BS in Engineering (Master's preferred) with knowledge of REVIT/AutoCAD, load/hydraulic analysis, and P&ID development. EIT certification is a plus; strong client-facing skills are valued.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering required.
Experience with HVAC/plumbing systems beneficial.
Familiarity with design tools like REVIT or AutoCAD is expected.
Knowledgeable in design reviews and QA/QC processes.
EIT certification or higher is preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist in production and modification of design calculations, technical reports, and engineering plans.
Support project teams with organization and administrative tasks related to design files.
Contribute to project quantity and cost estimates and deliverables.
Perform research, data collection, and field investigations as needed.
Support design delivery across multiple projects within HVAC, piping, and control systems.
