Job summary

HNTB Corporation in the San Francisco Bay Area seeks an Engineer I – Mechanical to assist in designing and delivering infrastructure projects. You will support production of design calculations, technical reports, plans and specifications with HVAC, plumbing and fire life safety systems, under minimal direction.

The role emphasizes hands-on analysis, load calculations, and CAD tools such as REVIT and AutoCAD, with opportunities for growth through EIT credentials and advanced degrees.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required.
Experience with HVAC, plumbing and fire life safety systems is expected.
Proficiency with REVIT and AutoCAD is preferred.
Ability to perform load analysis and hydraulics calculations.

Responsibilities

Completes assigned work within the schedule and hours provided.
Supports preparation of project reports, plans, designs, and calculations.
Assists in preparation of project quantity and cost estimates.
Assists engineering teams with organization and administrative support of design files.
Supports engineering teams with various tasks including data collection, field investigations, and design.
Performs other duties as assigned.
