Job summary

United Launch Alliance (ULA) is seeking a Mechanical Engineer I in the Engineering and Infrastructure (E&I) department at Cape Canaveral to support the readiness of ground support systems for Atlas V and Vulcan launches.

You will design and analyze mechanical systems, troubleshoot issues, manage projects from conception to completion, and prepare documentation and presentations for leadership, while applying industry codes and Autodesk CAD tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in an engineering discipline from an accredited college or university.
• Familiarity with ASME, AISC, and ASCE design codes.
• Experience with CAD software, primarily Autodesk suite.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office software.

Responsibilities

• Design and analyze new and modified facility mechanical systems (movable platforms, hydraulic systems, high-bay doors).
• Troubleshoot, perform root-cause analyses, and investigate failures in mechanical/hydraulic systems.
• Manage engineering projects from conception to completion.
• Prepare and deliver verbal and written project status, technical analyses, and design reviews.
• Create and maintain engineering documentation (schematics, reports, procedures).
