Job summary

United Launch Alliance in Denver/Cape Canaveral is seeking a Human Space Flight Integration Systems Engineer to support certification and readiness for Atlas V, ICPS, and Vulcan programs. You will collaborate with chief engineers, systems engineers, safety, and technical leads to monitor requirements and mitigate risks.

This role emphasizes strong communication, cross‑functional teamwork, and the ability to travel up to 10%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in Engineering or related technical field.
• Experience with existing and evolving launch systems or spacecraft system requirements.
• Experience supporting cross-functional teams in requirements analysis, development, integration, and verification: trade study management and risk management.
• Organization skills necessary to maintain focus and achieve consensus within diverse multi-disciplined teams
• Experience developing, implementing, and tailoring systems engineering processes.

Responsibilities

• Develop certification products and evaluate changes against those products, including human spaceflight design & construction standards, hazard reports and variances, flight rules, and emergency detection system
• Evaluate human spaceflight safety risks and support presentation to internal and external customers
• Collaborate with external customers to address open technical concerns and risks, including support to NASA insight and CoFR prior to each launch
• Train for and/or provide training to others for operational support positions to support our customers and keep crew safe, such as HAL or Ascent Team
• Support proposals for new business for human spaceflight programs
• Drive process improvement initiatives within the HSF team to manage scope of work, business rhythm, and interfaces to other stakeholders
