Job summary

RTX is seeking a Mechanical Engineer (Collins Aerospace) in the United States to design and develop aircraft cargo systems. You will formulate designs, generate layouts, perform trade studies, and prepare CAD drawings under senior guidance.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering and CAD experience with NX, Catia, SolidWorks, Creo, or Fusion 360. Strong collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Must have Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering by start date.
• Experience with CAD software such as NX, Catia, SolidWorks, Creo, and/or Fusion 360; on-the-job, coursework, or projects.

Responsibilities

• Formulate designs and develop preliminary layouts for assemblies.
• Review product specs to determine design requirements and scope of work.
• Generate concepts and perform trade studies to optimize configurations.
• Prepare CAD layouts, drawings, and coordinate with Drafting for release.
• Support design verification testing and interface with other functions.
