Job summary

RTX’s Air Launched Effectors Department is seeking Mechanical Engineers to join multi-discipline teams supporting design and production for Air Launched Effectors products and subsystems. The role involves design, documentation, and collaboration with suppliers and other engineering teams to meet government and international customer needs.

The candidate will work onsite in Tucson, with opportunities to support First Article Inspection (FAI) and path to government program delivery.

Qualifications

Bachelor degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) major obtained by start date.
Experience with 3D modeling CAD tools (modeling and drawing).
Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects.

Responsibilities

Perform mechanical design, development, and documentation of components and sub-assemblies for tactical missile systems and equipment.
Collaborate with engineering disciplines, non-technical teams, and suppliers to develop design solutions and resolve issues.
Support factory and suppliers with product development, obsolescence, troubleshooting, domestically and internationally.
Interface with other disciplines and suppliers to resolve design challenges.
Work with limited supervision and meet schedule, financial, and technical goals.
