RTX in Tucson, AZ, is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join the Air Launched Effectors team. You will design, develop, and document components and sub-assemblies for tactical missile systems, collaborating with factory and suppliers to meet schedule, cost, and technical goals.

Applicants should hold a Master’s degree in STEM and have experience with mechanical data packages, GD&T, and 3D modeling tools like CREO; Windchill experience is a plus. Onsite role with US security clearance requirements.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) obtained by start date.
• Experience with design, development, and production of mechanical equipment for military environments.
• Experience with creation, release, and updates of mechanical technical data packages.
• Experience with tolerance analysis.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical design, development, and documentation of components and sub-assemblies for tactical missile systems.
• Support factory and suppliers with product development, obsolescence, and troubleshooting internationally.
• Interface with engineering disciplines and suppliers to develop design solutions and resolve technical challenges.
