Job summary

Briggs & Stratton, LLC. is seeking a926-engineering professional to perform routine engineering tasks under supervision, coordinating detailed designs for projects of moderate scope.

You will support testing, CAD analysis, and product development processes to drive successful pre-production and post-launch activities. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and at least one internship, with strong written and spoken English, and good interpersonal skills to collaborate across teams

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field required.
• Minimum one internship experience in engineering or related area.
• Ability to communicate technical information effectively in writing and verbally.

Responsibilities

• Conduct and/or specify simple engineering tests to resolve customer concerns and prepare technical reports.
• Apply computer-aided engineering techniques to address problems.
• Adhere to product development processes for pre-production and post-launch steps; assess cost/design implications.
• Evaluate product failures using standard engineering methods.
• Compile and analyze test results, draw conclusions, and provide recommendations.
• Provide data to support project management, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain.
• Suggest improvements for sequence of operations, equipment utilization, and related areas.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Performs routine engineering tasks under general supervision that are simple, varied and require troubleshooting and interpretation of data. Executes and coordinates detailed designs as part of projects of moderate scope.

Job Responsibilities

1. Conducts and/or specifies simple engineering tests using standard techniques to resolve customer concerns/problems; prepares technical reports based on results
2. Applies computer-aided engineering analysis techniques to resolve customer concerns/problems
3. Adheres to new product development processes as it relates to product development pre-production and post launch steps; recommends methods of manufacture during the design of new products and design modifications or process changes based on cost/design studies
4. Evaluates product failures using standard engineering techniques
5. Compiles and analyzes test results, formulates conclusions and makes appropriate recommendations
6. Provides data to support project management, business units, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, etc.
7. Recommends improvements and/or modifications for sequence of operations, equipment utilization and related matters
8. Performs other duties as assigned
