Job summary

Stantec seeks a Mechanical Engineer with a focus in HVAC and plumbing design to deliver project excellence for communities in the United States. You will collaborate with architects, civil, electrical, and structural engineers to coordinate design solutions and present them to clients.

The role involves Revit modeling, design calculations, and field surveys from concept through construction documents. The ideal candidate designs HVAC and plumbing systems, understands codes and standards, and can

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (ABET-accredited).
• Minimum of 5 years in buildings design industry preferred.
• Licensed Professional Engineer is preferred.
• LEED Green Associate or LEED AP is preferred.
• Familiarity with building codes, NFPA, energy codes and ASHRAE standards.

Responsibilities

• Apply mechanical engineering skills to the design and oversight of building projects.
• Produce design documentation, drawings, and calculations.
• Coordinate schematic design, design development, and construction documents.
• Design HVAC and plumbing systems including water, sanitary, storm, diesel and natural gas distribution.
