Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
• 6 years of professional engineering experience in high-volume electronics manufacturing or similar.
• Experience with manufacturing process optimization, capacity analysis, line balancing, work measurement, material flow and production layout.
• Hands-on experience designing/qualifying improving mechanical tooling, fixtures, jigs, and production workstations.
• Knowledge of PCB fabrication and PCBA processes including SMT, soldering, cleaning, inspection and test controls.
• Proficiency with Lean, Six Sigma, structured problem solving, root-cause analysis and corrective action methods.
• Ability to collect and interpret production data and translate findings into practical engineering solutions.
• Strong project management, documentation, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze manufacturing workflows, equipment, labor utilization, cycle times, line balancing and constraints to identify bottlenecks.
• Propose staffing, workstation, line and cell configurations to maximize efficiency while meeting quality and cost targets.
• Design and qualify jigs, fixtures, tools, and workstations for top-level assembly and related processes; maintain tooling documentation.
• Lead root-cause investigations and corrective actions for defects; implement sustained improvements.
• Develop efficient production layouts, material flow, storage and point-of-use presentation.
• Collaborate with process, quality, automation and test teams to improve PCB/PCBA fabrication and assembly controls.
• Lead Lean, Six Sigma, and other improvement initiatives to reduce waste and cost, improve yield and productivity.
• Produce and maintain engineering specifications, layouts and project records; present KPIs and risks to management.
• Provide technical guidance and mentor teammates; coordinate vendor/contractor support as needed.
• Ensure TLA production requirements and maximum labor efficiency with quality and cost targets.
• Lead projects for equipment upgrades, tooling deployment, process changes and new product introductions.
