Job summary

SolarEdge Technologies is seeking an experienced Process Engineer for its Austin manufacturing team. You will own front-end PCB fabrication and PCBA processes, drive process stability, and ensure high-volume readiness from design through production.

You will lead root-cause analysis, qualification of equipment and tooling, and cross-functional NPI efforts while championing lean, Six Sigma, and data-driven improvements for cost, quality, and throughput.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical field.
• Senior-level manufacturing experience in PCB fabrication and PCBA.
• Strong knowledge of IPC workmanship standards and ESD controls.
• Experience with SPC, process capability and quality systems.
• Ability to lead manufacturing readiness and high-volume ramp-up.

Responsibilities

• Lead PCB fabrication and PCBA processes, incl. SMT, reflow, wave soldering, inspection, and test controls.
• Monitor throughput, downtime, yield, scrap and drive improvements.
• Lead root cause investigations and corrective actions for FE defects.
• Plan and qualify equipment, tooling, and processes; document results.
• Drive NPI readiness and mass production ramp with cross-functional teams.
• Define process parameters, SOPs, and control plans for repeatability.
• Develop jigs, fixtures, and stencils to improve stability and output.
• Lead Lean Six Sigma projects to reduce defects and costs.
• Coordinate with suppliers on equipment, tooling, and services.
