Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Mechanical Engineer for its Buildings Government Services team in the United States. You will apply HVAC design, BIM, and field survey skills on projects ranging from new construction to renovation, under supervision of senior engineers.

Requirements include a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering, 5+ years in buildings design, and a PE license; LEED accreditation preferred. Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and energy modeling. Travel and client coordination may be involved.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in buildings design.
• Professional Engineering license required.
• LEED Green Associate or LEED AP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conceptualize and develop full documentation for new construction and renovation projects.
• Evaluate, select, specify, and engineer mechanical HVAC systems.
• Develop designs through sketches, models, diagrams and other visuals.
• Use BIM technologies to model mechanical systems in 3D.
• Prepare and revise site plans, floor plans, diagrams and details.
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders including consultants, owners, contractors and vendors.
• Support project specifications with construction documents.
• Conduct field surveys of existing conditions.
