Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years experience designing complex mechanical assemblies.
• Hands-on experience assembling and testing complex mechanical assemblies.
• Proficiency in CAD with strong preference for SolidWorks.
• Experience applying finite element analysis and other analysis methods to design of mechanical parts.
• Experience with GD&T and other related ASME/ISO drafting standards.
• Proven ability to work well with others.
• Good documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Design mechanical components of endoscopes including pullwires and transmission components.
• Machined and injection molded components design.
• Work with vendors to deliver initial prototypes through production parts.
• Assemble and test early prototypes and use results to improve next round of designs.
• Conduct modeling and simulation tasks of key design elements.
• Finalize mechanical requirements and specifications for the design.
• Design tooling and fixtures for prototyping and testing.
• Support documentation of designs and test results.
• Generate design concepts for next generation endoscopic devices.
