Job summary

TEEMA seeks a Mechanical Engineer-in-Training (EIT) for a hybrid role supporting diverse commercial projects. The candidate will design and support HVAC and plumbing systems, work with air handling units, chillers, and compressors, and perform sizing and layout calculations.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of mechanical engineering experience, Revit and Bluebeam proficiency, FE/EIT preferred, and strong communication skills; travel 1–3 days/mo for site visits is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Approximately 3–5 years of mechanical engineering experience.
• Commercial building experience strongly preferred.
• Hands‑on Revit experience required; Bluebeam experience highly preferred.
• HVAC and plumbing design experience.
• FE/EIT certification preferred.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and client-service skills.
• Remote candidates may be considered if travel 1–3 days per month.

Responsibilities

• Design and support HVAC and plumbing systems for commercial building projects.
• Work with equipment such as air handling units, chillers, cooling towers, and compressors.
• Perform engineering calculations, equipment sizing, system layouts, and technical documentation.
• Develop and coordinate designs using Revit and Bluebeam.
• Support construction documents, submittals, RFIs, and construction administration.
• Participate in site visits and collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and clients.
• Work closely with senior engineers while taking on increasing project responsibility.
