Job summary

Lynn Rodens is seeking a Mechanical Engineer-in-Training (EIT) to join a growing team supporting a diverse portfolio of commercial projects in Sacramento. Hybrid schedule (3 days onsite / 2 days remote) awaits local candidates, with travel as needed.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of experience, strong Revit and Bluebeam skills, and a focus on HVAC and plumbing design for commercial facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• 3–5 years of mechanical engineering experience.
• Hands-on Revit experience required; Bluebeam experience highly preferred.
• HVAC and plumbing design experience.
• FE/EIT certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and support HVAC and plumbing systems for commercial building projects.
• Work with equipment such as air handling units, chillers, cooling towers, and compressors.
• Perform engineering calculations, equipment sizing, system layouts, and technical documentation.
• Develop and coordinate designs using Revit and Bluebeam.
• Support construction documents, submittals, RFIs, and construction administration.
• Participate in site visits and collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and clients.
• Work closely with senior engineers while taking on increasing project responsibility.
