Job summary

Hanson Professional Services, Inc. is seeking a Mechanical Engineer (EIT) to support planning, design, and construction of building mechanical systems across diverse facility projects in the Orlando area.

You will work with engineers and project managers to develop innovative solutions, perform modeling and design tasks, and help produce technical specifications and drawings. The role requires an ABET‑accredited engineering degree and an EIT certification, with PE licensure a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from ABET-accredited program.
• Minimum of four years of experience designing and drafting mechanical building systems (HVAC, plumbing, fire protection).
• E.I.T. certification.
• PE or ability to get licensed within one year is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct facility studies, assessments, and evaluations including existing system due diligence reviews and facility condition assessments.
• Assist in designing HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and special piping systems; prepare drawings and documentation.
• Perform load calculations and energy modeling; assist with equipment selection and system layouts.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality engineering solutions; participate in shop drawing reviews and construction administration.
• Travel occasionally for project-related assignments and field investigations.
