Job summary

Hanson Professional Services Inc. in Orlando is seeking a Mechanical Designer to support the planning, design, and construction of building mechanical systems across a variety of facility projects.

You will work with engineers and project managers to develop innovative and practical solutions for clients while gaining experience across multiple project types. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering (ABET-accredited), 4+ years of drafting/mechanical design experience,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.
• Minimum of four (4) years of experience designing and drafting mechanical building systems (HVAC, plumbing, fire protection).
• E.I.T. certification; PE licensure within 1 year is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct facility studies, assessments, and evaluations (existing system due diligence, facility condition assessments, energy modeling).
• Prepare construction drawings and contract documents using Revit.
• Perform field investigations and document existing mechanical systems.
• Support engineers with load calculations, energy modeling, and equipment selection.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams to deliver high-quality engineering solutions.
