Job summary

Hanson Professional Services Inc. seeks a Mechanical Engineer (EIT) to support planning, design, and construction of building mechanical systems across diverse facility projects.

You will work with engineers and project managers to deliver innovative, practical solutions while gaining experience across multiple project types. The role requires a Bachelor’s in mechanical engineering (ABET-accredited), 4+ years of design/drafting experience, Revit proficiency, and EIT certification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.
• Minimum of four (4) years of experience designing and drafting (modeling) mechanical building systems (including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection).
• Experience with building systems commissioning is a plus.
• E.I.T. certification.
• PE or ability to get licensed in one (1) year a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct facility studies, assessments, and evaluations, including existing system due diligence reviews and facility condition assessments.
• Prepare construction drawings and contract documents using Revit and support design development.
• Assist with load calculations and energy modeling, and equipment selection.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams to deliver high-quality engineering solutions.
• Participate in shop drawing reviews and construction administration activities.
