Job summary

Boom Technology, Inc. is seeking an early-career Mechanical Engineer to own subsystems such as fuel, lube, cooling, and other balance-of-plant systems from concept through integration into the engine.

You will design components balancing performance, reliability, manufacturability, and testability. You will plan and support assembly processes, work with manufacturing engineers on the floor, and run tests to gather data and drive better engineering decisions.

Qualifications

• Requires a degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
• Internship or co-op experience with real mechanical systems is expected.
• Hands-on CAD and analysis experience with NX/SolidWorks/CATIA and FEA tools.

Responsibilities

• Own mechanical subsystems (fuel, lube, cooling, balance-of-plant) from concept to integration.
• Design components balancing performance, reliability, manufacturability, and testability.
• Plan and support assembly processes with manufacturing engineers on the shop floor.
• Design and run component and system-level tests; instrument hardware and interpret results.
• Collaborate across propulsion, electrical, and manufacturing teams to ensure integration.
