Job summary

Boom Supersonic is hiring early-career engineers to own hardware from day one, designing instrumentation and embedded controls for a two-engine program. You will integrate sensors, develop embedded hardware, and help bring up hardware never created before.

Join a team building a 42 MW gas turbine engine platform and collaborate with propulsion, mechanical, software, and test engineers to enable reliable, intelligent systems in demanding conditions.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or closely related field.
  • Internship or project experience with electrical, embedded, or control systems.
  • Experience with embedded programming and microcontrollers.
  • Comfort in lab environments with real hardware rather than simulations.
  • Proven ownership of difficult projects and problem solving.

Responsibilities

  • Own a defined portion of Superpower's electrical or embedded controls architecture—from instrumentation to hardware integration.
  • Design, build, and validate electrical systems to generate data for engine development and protection.
  • Collaborate with propulsion, mechanical, software, and test engineers to integrate hardware into a first-of-its-kind gas turbine.
  • Develop and troubleshoot embedded hardware and control systems during engine testing and improve performance.
  • Help build reliable systems that connect hardware, software, and test from prototype to validation.
