Afinitas, expanding a new satellite technical office in Des Moines, Iowa, is hiring Mechanical Engineers at all experience levels to join the growing team and help shape our engineering presence.

As a Mechanical Engineer, you will participate in the full product lifecycle from concept to production, developing innovative machine concepts, creating detailed designs and BOMs, and collaborating with manufacturing to drive improvements. SolidWorks/AutoCAD experience required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience from entry-level to senior positions.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical design and manufacturing processes.
• Experience with SolidWorks or AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

• Develop innovative machine and equipment concepts.
• Create detailed designs, drawings, and technical documentation.
• Perform engineering analysis and design calculations.
• Develop and maintain bills of material (BOMs).
• Evaluate and implement design improvements.
• Collaborate with manufacturing teams to support equipment builds and process improvements.
• Work cross-functionally with engineering, operations, sourcing, and project management teams.
