Afinitas in Des Moines, Iowa is expanding with a satellite engineering office and seeks Mechanical Designers/Drafters at all levels to join the team. You will develop layouts and detailed designs for industrial equipment, and contribute to meaningfully engineered solutions across the build cycle.

Candidates with Associate or Bachelor in drafting or mechanical engineering and proficiency in SolidWorks or AutoCAD are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent in drafting or mechanical design required.
• Experience across entry to senior design roles is welcome.
• Strong drafting standards, dimensioning and tolerances knowledge.

Responsabilités

• Develop layouts and detailed designs for industrial equipment and systems.
• Create manufacturing and assembly drawings with engineering docs.
• Perform design analysis to support performance and manufacturability.
• Maintain accurate BOMs and implement design changes.
• Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams throughout builds.
