Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Mechanical Engineer (Design Build) in Chicago to join its MEP Engineering team. You will work through schematic design, design development, construction documents, construction administration, and post-occupancy to deliver high-quality building systems.

Responsibilities include BIM modeling, drawings, specs, and coordinating with architects, engineers, and construction professionals to meet client goals and schedules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
• PE license required for Engineer title; Designer if not.
• 4–8 years of related mechanical engineering experience.
• Experience with engineering analysis, system design, and building applications.

Responsibilities

• Deliver building systems across schematic design through post-occupancy.
• Develop BIM models, drawings, and specifications.
• Coordinate with architectural, sustainability, and construction teams.
• Support permitting and regulatory documentation with local agencies.
• Contribute to project documentation and client communications.
