Job summary

Insight Global seeks a mechanical engineer to design modular HVAC and cooling systems for large-scale data center projects, developing piping layouts and 3D models for fabrication and construction documentation.

You will perform hydraulic calculations, create fabrication drawings and BOMs, and ensure compliance with ASME B31.3 and related codes while collaborating with manufacturing and construction teams.

Qualifications

• Experience designing modular HVAC and cooling systems for large-scale data centers.
• Proficient in piping layouts, supports, and mechanical design per specs and codes.
• Skilled in performing hydraulic and pressure drop calculations to size equipment accurately.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed piping system layouts, support configurations, and mechanical designs.
• Develop 2D drawings and 3D models in SolidWorks for fabrication and construction docs.
• Generate fabrication drawings and BOMs to support production activities.
• Interpret ASME standards (including ASME B31.3) and ensure regulatory compliance.
