Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering; Mechanical Engineering preferred or equivalent.
• 2+ years of project-based experience in mechanical design/engineering.
• Strong knowledge of ASHRAE Handbook and Standards is expected.
• Working knowledge of SMACNA Manuals and Standards is preferred.
• FE exam passed is favorable and beneficial for applicants.
• Excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain design standards, specifications, and criteria for projects.
• Represent the Company in interactions with customers, contractors, suppliers and coordinate with project team members.
• Perform site surveys, calculations, equipment selection and system design for proposals and contracts.
• Develop sustainable designs for high performance HVAC distribution and building systems.
• Produce construction drawings and specifications aligned with contract requirements and codes.
• Address design, fabrication, construction, and commissioning issues as they arise.
• Develop system sequences of operations and project documentation.
• Participate in PITCO processes including system programming and testing.
• Coordinate design efforts across disciplines for project success.
• Support new product evaluations and recommendations.
• Travel up to 25% for short-term assignments as required.
