Job summary

GOEBEL FIXTURE COMPANY in Minnesota is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to support the research, design, build and test of automated solutions for the burn-in industry. The role reports to the System Automation and Controls Department and requires a 4-year degree and 2+ years of design experience.

Responsibilities

• Expands and maintains technical knowledge relating to the design and controls of Burn-In chambers and auxiliary automation systems.
• Develops and implements early phase mechanical concept design, performs tolerance analysis, finite element analysis or other design analysis.
• Performs initial and ongoing design reviews.
• Helps ensure designs meet and exceed product specifications, regulatory requirements, and international standards.
• Produces accurate and complete documentation, BOM’s, and procedures to support operations.
• Partners with Senior Engineers to complete advanced automation projects.
• Assists senior engineers and proposes new initiatives relevant to their work for research and development activities to ensure the continuous and on-going improvement of processes and methods.
• Responsible for responding to customer requests for products and designs relevant to their assigned responsibilities.
• Presents plans of action to address and resolve mechanical design and quality problems.
• Performs all other related duties as requested or assigned.

Job Summary:
