As a Hardware Development Engineer, you will work with cross-functional teams to develop custom tools and provide design supportability recommendations. You should be a motivated self-starter, responsive, flexible, and capable of succeeding in an open, collaborative environment.

Key job responsibilities

  1. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop product designs from concept to production, including specifications, prototyping, validation, and testing.
  2. Coordinate with Ergo, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and vendors to ensure smooth product launches and sustainment.
  3. Write functional specifications, design verification plans, and test procedures.
  4. Apply industrial design principles to improve ergonomics and user experience.
  5. Create and release drawings for manufacturing at scale.
  6. Implement customer feedback to address emerging challenges.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • 4+ years of experience in mechanical engineering or a related field.
  • Proficiency with SolidWorks or similar CAD software, including advanced assemblies and configuration management.
  • Hands-on experience with prototypes and proof-of-concept models.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles and product design application.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of SolidWorks simulation or Ansys FEA tools.
  • Experience designing complex mechanical products through full development cycle, including documentation.
  • Proficiency with GD&T and ANSI Y-14.5 standards.
  • Experience with designing and debugging tooling components (injection molds, forging, stamping).
  • Familiarity with PLM software and engineering change processes.
  • Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
