Job summary

Crystal Group is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join the Advanced Program Pursuits team in Hiawatha, IA. You will design, analyze, and verify mechanical components and assemblies, integrating mechanical and electrical systems for advanced customer opportunities.

You will collaborate with Systems, Electrical, Sales, and Manufacturing to evaluate feasibility, support rapid prototyping, and ensure designs meet stringent specifications and standards.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years in Mechanical Engineering acceptable in lieu of degree.

Responsibilities

• Translate customer requirements into mechanical designs and solutions.
• Develop mechanical concepts, models, drawings, and assemblies including sheet-metal and machined parts.
• Research and select mechanical systems, materials, and processes for new concepts.
• Review drawings to ensure adherence to specifications and standards.
• Support rapid concept development and prototyping efforts to evaluate feasibility.
