Job summary

NAVAIR in Ridgecrest, CA seeks a Mechanical Engineer to join the Research & Development Group in the Weapons & Warfare Systems Test Dept at China Lake. The role focuses on developmental engineering, evaluating modifications, and supporting testing and experiments with senior engineers.

You will develop, test, and evaluate new or modified engineering systems, contributing to data-driven decisions and ensuring compliance with program goals and technical standards in a federal environment.

• Serve as a developmental engineer within the Integrated Mission and Operational Test and Evaluation Branch.
• Evaluate data and determine acceptability of equipment modifications, validity, test procedures and data, or legality of operation.
• Be responsible for testing, evaluating, or developing new or modified engineering systems.
• Support professional engineers in performing experiments, research, and developmental activities.
