Job summary

NAVAIR is seeking a P-8A Ground Station Assistant Program Manager for Systems Engineering (APMSE) to support PMA-290. The role oversees technical requirements development and the technical acquisition of the P-8A Ground Station.

You will develop and review program technical documentation, advise on engineering issues, assess available technologies for fleet applicability, and help define design concepts and performance requirements for future systems.

Job description

You will serve as the P-8A Ground Station Assistant Program Manager for Systems Engineering (APMSE) in support of the Maritime Patrol and Reconnaissance Aircraft (MPRA) Program Office (PMA-290) of NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV. You will be responsible for the leading and oversight of the technical requirements development, design, and technical acquisition of the P-8A Ground Station.

Position Duties/Responsibilities

• You will develop and review program technical and mission documentation, providing authoritative input and advice on all engineering and technical issues and ensuring engineering requirements are met.
• You will participate in the development and design of new systems by assessing if available or imminent technology is sufficient to meet requirements or system concepts are applicable to fleet operational requirements.
• You will recommend revised operational requirements or design concepts as required.
• You will formulate engineering design concepts and performance requirements which provide the basis for overall technical and engineering planning for the assigned system.
• You will maintain knowledge of current arid future capabilities, problems and demands upon the system (s) and provides overall technical planning for development, engineering, and evaluation of programs.
• You will develop all engineering portions of Procurement Requests, Requests for Proposal, Requests for Quotations, etc.
