Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Omaha, NE. The role focuses on small to mid-scale expansion projects, storage operations, and pressure regulation work, overseeing design drawings, material lists, and serving as the main contact for construction questions to ensure alignment with design intent while maintaining safety and efficiency.

Pay rate ranges from $38 to $43 per hour.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of relevant engineering experience preferred (internships or co-ops considered).
• Proficiency using CAD software including AutoCAD.
• Great problem solving & communication skills.
• Prior utility experience.

Responsibilities

• Create design drawings and material lists for projects.
• Serve as a key contact to address construction questions and ensure alignment with design intent.
• Maintain safety, efficiency and compliance throughout project phases.
• Assist in planning and execution of design, planning and commissioning stages.

Insight Global is looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join our engineering team in Omaha, NE. The team oversees small to mid-scale expansion projects, as well as storage operations and other pressure regulation work, including the design, planning and execution phases for each project. They will work daily to put together design drawings, material lists, and serve as a key point of contact to address construction questions and ensure project alignment with design intent, while maintaining safety, efficiency & compliance. Once the projects are fully commissioned, they will be passed off to another team. This individual is expected to be confident, self-motivated, and naturally driven, and a hard worker. (Pay Rate: $38-43/hr)

Skills and Requirements

• Bachelors Degree in mechanical engineering2+ years of relevant engineering experience preferred (internships or co-ops considered).
• Proficiency using CAD software including AutoCAD, and familiarity with engineering standards and codes
• Great problem solving & communication skills
• Prior utility experience
