Job summary

Crane Company is seeking a qualified engineer to work on Crane Nuclear products, test systems, and related hardware and software solutions. You will join cross-functional teams and coordinate across engineering, manufacturing, quality, and service to deliver robust solutions.

The role involves design, documentation, verification, and validation activities, plus the development of test procedures and troubleshooting across product lines such as MOV, AOV, and valve diagnostic equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Serve on cross-functional project teams developing, enhancing, and supporting Crane Nuclear products, test systems, and related hardware/software.
  • Coordinate activities across engineering, manufacturing, quality, service and external suppliers to meet project objectives and resolve issues.
  • Design, develop, document, and maintain components, assemblies, test fixtures, drawings, and bills of materials.
  • Develop, execute, and document verification and validation activities for new products and changes.
  • Design and implement test, calibration, and verification procedures to support development and manufacturing.
  • Troubleshoot and perform root-cause analysis on product performance and customer-reported issues.
  • Develop knowledge of Crane Nuclear products including MOV, AOV, and valve diagnostic equipment.
  • Support sustaining engineering activities and change implementation.
  • Maintain accurate technical records and engineering deliverables.
  • Provide technical support to customers and internal stakeholders, including demonstrations and training.
  • Expand technical expertise through self-development and industry activities.

Job description

Principal Responsibilities:
  • Serve as a key member of cross-functional project teams responsible for the development, enhancement, and support of Crane Nuclear products, test systems, and associated hardware and software solutions.
  • Coordinate activities across engineering, manufacturing, quality, service, and external suppliers to achieve project objectives and resolve technical issues.
  • Design, develop, document, and maintain components, assemblies, test fixtures, engineering drawings, and bills of materials.
  • Develop, execute, and document verification and validation activities for new products, product enhancements, and engineering changes.
  • Design and implement test, calibration, and verification procedures to support product development, manufacturing, and field applications.
  • Perform troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and corrective action activities related to product performance, test systems, and customer-reported issues.
  • Develop and maintain a working knowledge of Crane Nuclear products, systems, and applications including MOV, AOV, and check valve diagnostic equipment.
  • Support sustaining engineering activities, including product improvements, obsolescence management, issue resolution, and engineering change implementation.
  • Maintain accurate technical records, project documentation, and engineering deliverables for assigned projects.
  • Provide technical support to customers, internal stakeholders, and field service personnel, including participation in demonstrations, training, and technical presentations.
  • Continuously expand technical expertise through self-development, training, and participation in industry-related activities.
