Job summary

Crane Company in the United States is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to design, optimize, and maintain manufacturing processes within the Radiation Monitoring department, focusing on efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness across nuclear product lines. Job description

The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for designing, optimizing, and maintaining manufacturing processes within the Radiation Monitoring manufacturing department, focusing on improving efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness by analyzing production methods, equipment, and materials, often collaborating with other departments to identify and implement improvements across nuclear product lines.

Responsibilities, authorities and accountabilities
  • Process/product mastery and ownership
  • Day-to day shop floor support
  • Manufacturing traveler/router creation and modification
  • Manufacturing equipment selection and implementation
  • Disposition of non-conforming product and equipment
  • Product and process failure analysis and troubleshooting
  • Fixturing design and implementation
  • Manufacturing procedure creation, modification, and associated operator training
  • Engineering change management
  • Capital Equipment project justifications, submissions and management
  • Manufacturing process and quality control through collaboration with operators, data collection, and trend tracking
  • Manufacturing process audits
  • Purchasing manufacturing tooling and consumables
  • Scrap reduction through process improvement projects
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited university or college required
  • At least 4 years of experience preferred in Manufacturing or Process Engineering.

  • Demonstrated proficiency in engineering design tools and software
