This role will focus on improving manufacturing efficiency, ensuring product quality, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to support new product development and continuous improvement initiatives. Ideal candidates will have hands-on experience with rotating equipment, precision manufacturing, and energy sector standards.**Essential Functions**The following duties and responsibilities are all essential functions, as defined by the ADA, except for those that begin with the word "may."* Develop and optimize manufacturing processes for turbine components, including rotors, stators, and housings* Collaborate with design engineering to ensure manufacturability of new products and support design-for-manufacturing (DFM) initiatives* Create and maintain process documentation, work instructions, and standard operating procedures* Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for production issues and quality deviations* Support implementation of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement projects* Evaluate and select tooling, fixtures, and equipment for turbine assembly and testing* Ensure compliance with ASME, ISO, and internal quality standards* Conduct time studies, capacity analysis, and production line balancing* Assist with capital equipment justification and facility layout planning* Provide technical support to production teams and train operators on new processes and equipment* Interface with suppliers and vendors to resolve manufacturing challenges and improve part quality**Qualifications, Skills, and Abilities**• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field required, Master’s preferred • 5+ years of experience in turbine manufacturing, rotating equipment, or power generation systems • Strong understanding of machining, casting, welding, and assembly processes • Proficient in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and ERP systems • Familiarity with ASME codes, ISO standards, and energy sector regulations • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills • Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams**Preferred Qualifications**• Experience with microturbines or distributed energy systems • Knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Kaizen methodologies • Familiarity with GD&T and tolerance stack-up analysis • Certification in manufacturing engineering (CMfgE) or Six Sigma is a plus**Physical Requirements/Work Environment**• The physical demands and work environment described below are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this role.
