Job summary

Moseley is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join a team designing and developing high-quality commercial and institutional mechanical systems. With 5–10+ years of hands-on HVAC design experience and Revit expertise, you will contribute to new and replacement HVAC projects, facility evaluations, and design efforts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an ABET program.
• FE or PE preferred.
• Strong knowledge of building codes and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain professional relationships within the team.
• Lead design, development, and implementation of mechanical systems for small to medium projects.
• Perform detailed calculations to develop standards, specs, and designs for mechanical systems.
• Assist in construction administration through site visits.
• Maintain accurate project documentation.
• Ensure all mechanical designs comply with codes, regulations and safety standards.
• Provide mentorship to emerging professionals.

We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer to be part of a team that designs and develops high-quality commercial and institutional mechanical systems for Moseley’s projects. With 5-10+ years of hands‑on mechanical engineering and HVAC design experience, the ideal candidate brings solid expertise in Revit and a strong foundation in calculations, design, layout, and specifications. This role takes part in new & replacement HVAC projects, facility evaluations, and project design efforts, collaboratively delivering meaningful, long‑lasting, and efficient improvements to complex facilities.

Qualifications:

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain a positive professional working relationship with team members while working together in a collaborative, proactive and detail-oriented approach
• Lead the design, development, and implementation of mechanical systems for small to medium size projects that may include existing facility evaluations, feasibility studies, and cost estimating
• Perform detailed calculations to develop construction, installation, and operational standards, specifications, and designs for mechanical systems or components
• Assist in construction administration through conducting site visits
• Maintain accurate and timely project documentation
• Confirm all mechanical design systems adhere to building codes, regulations, and safety standard
• Provide mentorship and coaching to emerging professionals
• Additional responsibilities as assigned

Required Skills:

• Capable of working in a collaborative team environment to meet specific deadlines
• Diligence in monitoring progress, identifying potential problems, and designing solutions as necessary
• Ability to successfully handle multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline driven environment
• Strong ability to communicate both verbally and in writing
• Advanced knowledge of codes and standards such as SMACNA, IBC, IMC, and ASHRAE
• Energy modeling experience preferred

Required Software Proficiencies:

Revit, MS Office, Microsoft Office Suite, Bluebeam, & Trane Trace or Trane 3D or Carrier HAP

Compensation (MD): $85,000-$120,000. Annual salary is commensurate with education & experience.
