Job summary

Moseley is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer in Charlotte, NC to design and develop high-quality mechanical systems for commercial and institutional projects. The role emphasizes HVAC design, calculations, and leadership on replacement projects and facility evaluations.

Ideal candidates have 7+ years of hands-on experience in mechanical engineering and HVAC design, strong Revit skills, and PE licensure is encouraged. Hybrid work and comprehensive benefits are offered at Moseley.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
• 7+ years of hands-on mechanical engineering and HVAC design experience, with PE license preferred.
• 10+ years’ experience without PE license.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain positive professional relationships within the team and collaborate proactively.
• Lead the design, development and implementation of mechanical systems for medium to large projects, including facility evaluations and cost estimation.
• Perform detailed calculations to develop construction, installation, and operation standards for mechanical systems.
• Assist in construction administration through site visits.
• Maintain accurate project documentation and ensure compliance with codes and safety standards.
• Provide mentorship to junior staff and support other team members as needed.
