Job summary

Moseley is hiring a Project Designer in Virginia Beach, VA. The ideal candidate has 5–7 years of commercial architectural design experience, strong Revit skills, and project detailing expertise. On track for licensure, you will document project phases with limited oversight and grow within a collaborative, multidisciplinary design practice.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to develop designs from concept sketches through construction documents.
• Interpret and apply building codes, zoning ordinances, and other external requirements.
• Maintain positive working relationships and communicate project information clearly within the team.
• Assist in coordinating and developing architectural drawings, renderings, specs, and design assignments under supervision.

Compensation: $70,000-$95,000. Annual salary is commensurate with education & experience.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma required, Associate’s Degree or higher preferred
• 0+ years’ experience
• Licensed Architect not required

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate closely within a multidisciplinary team to develop project designs from conceptual sketches through construction documents
• Interpret and apply relevant building codes, zoning ordinances, and other external considerations
• Develop and maintain a positive professional working relationship with team members while working together in a collaborative, proactive and detail-oriented approach
• Provide consistent and timely communication of project information to and from the project team
• Assist in the coordination and development of architectural drawings, renderings, specifications, and design assignments under general supervision to meet project requirements
• Additional responsibilities as assigned

Required Skills:

• Capable of working in a collaborative team environment to meet specific deadlines
• Diligence in monitoring progress, identifying potential problems, and designing solutions as necessary
• Strong ability to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing

Software Proficiencies:

• Microsoft Office Suite experience required
• Familiarity with Autodesk Revit (BIM) preferred
• Bluebeam experience preferred
• Adobe Creative Suite experience preferred
• Familiarity with rendering software preferred
