Job summary

Aerotek is hiring for an Entry-Level to Experienced Mechanical Assembler in Hillsboro, OR. The role involves light mechanical and electrical assembly on composite pallets for circuit boards, following blueprints and safety standards, with a growth path toward CNC operation, machine operator, and machinist roles.

You will use basic hand/power tools, read blueprints, and perform deburring and basic wiring as needed.

Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand/tools safely.
• Ability to read blueprints and follow assembly instructions.
• Willingness to learn wiring/electrical tasks and CNC operation over time.

Responsibilities

• Perform light mechanical assembly of composite pallets for circuit boards.
• Use hand and power tools to assemble units per specifications.
• Read blueprints and instructions to build accurately and efficiently.
• Conduct deburring and finish parts to quality standards.
• Assist with basic electrical assembly tasks as needed.
• Use measuring tools to verify dimensions and tolerances.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Follow safety standards and shop procedures.
• Work on standing benches during the shift (7:00 am–3:30 pm).
• Demonstrate reliability and commitment with minimal job hopping.
• Progress toward operating CNC mills and machinist roles over time.
