Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a Multi-Process Fabrication Technician for its precision manufacturing environment. The role involves performing fabrication, mechanical assembly, and quality checks on parts and assemblies, using CNC machines, mills, and lathes.

You will read blueprints, measure with calipers and protractors, and work from schedules to meet tight tolerances. The position emphasizes process improvement, adherence to safety standards, and teamwork within a structured cell environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3 months+ manufacturing/machine operation experience.
• Able to read blueprints and work from drawings or instructions.
• Experience with general/electric hand tools in a production/fabrication environment.
• Able to maintain tolerance of approximately +/- .010 to .030.
• Familiarity with CNC machines, mills, and lathes.
• Able to use calipers, protractors, and scales for precision measurements.
• Strong attention to detail and quality in deadline-driven settings.

Responsibilities

• Perform multiple fabrication tasks within a production manufacturing operation.
• Carry out fabrication, mechanical assembly, and QA per procedures.
• Operate general and electric hand tools and precision measuring instruments.
• Work from schedules, drawings, and instructions to produce parts and assemblies.
• Maintain accuracy within tight tolerances and ensure part specifications.
• Set up and operate CNC machines, mills, and lathes as appropriate.
• Read blueprints and verify parts meet specs with measuring tools.
• Contribute to process improvements to enhance quality, cost, and scheduling.
• Follow safety and quality standards and keep work areas organized.
