Job summary

Terex is seeking a Production Assembler/Installer in Fort Payne, AL to assemble, mount, and install mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical components per engineering specs. You will read blueprints, set up fixtures, and perform quality inspections to ensure each assembly meets standards.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting basic issues, maintaining inventory, and supporting continuous improvement while adhering to 5S and safety policies in a team-based production environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 0-3 years manufacturing or assembly experience preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints/schematics and follow written instructions.
• Knowledge of hydraulics or electrical systems is a plus.
• Attention to safety and quality in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, engineering drawings, sketches, templates, and work instructions.
• Assemble, mount, adjust, and install mechanical, hydraulic, electrical components.
• Set up and use jigs, fixtures, hand tools, power tools, hoists, and equipment.
• Perform repetitive assembly operations while meeting production and quality standards.
• Conduct quality inspections and ensure assemblies meet specifications.
• Troubleshoot basic mechanical, electrical, hydraulic issues; assist with rework as needed.
