HX5, LLC is seeking a Mechanical Designer to join our team at the NASA Glenn Research Center in Cleveland, OH, supporting the GEARS contract. The role focuses on CAD modeling and drawing development, with emphasis on NASA and industry standards across multiple projects.

The candidate will produce solid models and detailed drawings, coordinate with mechanical engineers, and manage drafts through Windchill PLM for configuration control.

Qualifications

• Background in Mechanical Design with machining and fabrication knowledge.
• Proficiency in drafting and design standards like ASME Y14.5M GD&T.
• Experience with Creo and large assemblies.
• Experience with Windchill PLM for model/drawings control.

Responsibilities

• Develop solid models and drawings per NASA standards.
• Create fabrication, assembly, and interface drawings.
• Coordinate with engineers to meet project schedules and issues.
