Job summary

Blue Origin in Merritt Island, FL is seeking a structural design engineer to support the New Glenn program. You will design, modify, and integrate structural components, build CAD models, and produce drawings that meet aerospace standards.

Coordinate fabrication, installation, and commissioning; manage large CAD assemblies; and advise on schedules and technical requirements. Requires 5+ years in aerospace, Creo Parametric and Windchill experience, and strong attention to detail.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in aerospace development or a related industry.
• Proficiency with Creo Parametric for design and integration.
• Experience with Windchill drawing release processes.
• Strong GD&T knowledge (ASME Y14.5).
• Experience selecting aerospace hardware (fasteners, bushings, washers).
• Experience leading cross-functional teams in material selection, manufacturing processes, and design development.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain structural product definitions; prepare layouts and drawings, modify existing designs, and resolve discrepancies.
• Coordinate fabrication, installation, and commissioning of new or modified systems at Blue Origin sites.
• Build models and drawings of designs.
• Provide guidance on schedule and technical requirements to internal customers.
• Apply company and industry techniques to plan, lay out, and maintain engineering data (detail, assembly and installation drawings or datasets).
