General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems is seeking a Mechanical Designer/Drafter (Engineer II) to support the SRM Engineering Team. The role focuses on creating detailed CAD models, drawings, and specifications for propulsion hardware such as motor cases, nozzles, insulation, joints, and interfaces.

The position may be remote or based in Huntsville, AL, Niceville, FL, or Hampton, AR. Travel up to 25% may be required.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in engineering or related field.
• 2–4 years of relevant engineering experience.
• Engineering discipline required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Responsabilités

• Applies engineering techniques to design, install, modify, analyze, repair and test tools, engines, machines.
• Reads and interprets blueprints, drawings, schematics, reports.
• Collaborates with engineers to implement procedures and resolve issues.
• Evaluates feasibility, cost, and maintenance of designs via data.
• Specifies components to meet design and performance specs.
