General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems is seeking a Mechanical Designer/Drafter (Engineer II) to support the SRM Engineering Team. You will create CAD models and drawings for propulsion hardware, and ensure designs are manufacturable and properly documented.

The role may be remote or based in Huntsville, AL, Niceville FL, or Hampton, AR, with travel up to 25% and a strong emphasis on collaboration with engineers across disciplines.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Engineering with 2–4 years of experience.
• Engineering discipline/major required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Responsabilités

• Applies engineering techniques to design, install, modify, analyze, repair and test tools and machines.
• Reads and interprets blueprints, drawings, schematics, and reports.
• Collaborates with engineers to implement procedures and resolve issues.
• Evaluates feasibility, cost, and maintenance from design proposals.
• Specifies system components to meet specifications.
• Investigates equipment failures and recommends solutions.
