General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems seeks a Mechanical Designer/Drafter (Engineer II) to support the SRM Engineering Team. You will create detailed CAD models, engineering drawings, and specifications for propulsion hardware such as motor cases, nozzles, insulation, joints, and structural interfaces, and assist with design integration and configuration control.

The role can be remote or based in Huntsville, AL, Niceville, FL, or Hampton, AR.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree and 2-4 years of experience.
• Engineering degree required.

Responsabilités

• Applies engineering techniques to design, install, modify, analyze, repair and test tools, engines and other mechanical equipment.
• Reads and interprets blueprints, drawings and schematics.
• Confers with engineers to implement procedures and resolve issues.
• Researches and analyzes design proposals to evaluate feasibility, cost and maintenance requirements.
• Specifies system components or directs modification to ensure conformance with specifications.
• Investigates equipment failures and diagnostics to recommend repairs.
