Actalent in Louisville, KY is seeking a Mechanical Designer/Drafter to produce detailed part and assembly drawings for mechanical equipment using AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor. The role emphasizes fabrication drawings and reverses engineering as needed, with a contract-to-hire path.

The candidate should have 1–2 years of Inventor experience, an associate degree in drafting, and the ability to work onsite. Expect up to 15% travel and a dynamic team environment with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years experience with Autodesk Inventor.
• Associate's degree in drafting or equivalent.
• Experience working in a fabrication environment.

Responsabilités

• Create detailed part, weldment, and assembly drawings.
• Interpret and revise existing drawings as needed.
• Produce installation drawings with proper title block data.
• Generate Bills of Materials for sheet metal, structural steel, bearings, reducers, hardware, and related components.
• Support fabrication shop and ensure drawings are manufacturable.
• Record and track project data in engineering databases.
• Follow engineering workflow procedures for drawing creation, checking, approval, archiving, and release for fabrication.
