Job summary

Imperial Industries is seeking a Mechanical CAD Designer to create mechanical prints in AutoCAD, manage BOMs in our ERP system, and coordinate with sales, engineers, and clients for production projects such as silos, tanks, and bins.

The role requires an Associate’s degree in mechanical design and 2–3 years of experience in a fast-paced engineering environment, with proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office. Familiarity with ERP and Inventor is a plus.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in mechanical design or equivalent is required.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD; knowledge of AutoDesk Inventor is a plus.
• 2–3 years of experience, preferably in a fast-paced engineering environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of fabricated metal products is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with sales, engineering, and clients to understand requirements for projects or mechanical systems.
• Utilize CAD software to plan and develop models and shop prints based on materials and specifications.
• Partner with manufacturing to implement improvements and resolve issues.
• Work in a team-based environment to bring projects from concept to completion.
• Adhere to strict safety regulations.
• Assist with additional projects as needed.
