Job summary

Elizabethtown, NC is hosting an Engineering Technician role within the Test and Automation Engineering Department. You will support mechanical design, CAD drafting, prototyping, and assembly for test stands, fixtures, and automated equipment, collaborating with Senior Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineers.

Responsibilities include taking field measurements, building prototypes, performing functional testing, and documenting results while ensuring safe operation and adherence to engineering

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Mechatronics, CAD/Drafting, Manufacturing Technology, or related field.
• Relevant experience in mechanical design support, test equipment, automation equipment, tooling, fixtures, manufacturing, or similar environment.
• Ability to create and revise 3D CAD models and drawings; SolidWorks experience preferred.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings, BOMs, and technical documentation.
• Working knowledge of measuring tools and fabrication methods.

Responsibilities

• Assist with mechanical design and drafting for test stands, fixtures, tooling, and automation equipment.
• Create and revise CAD models, assemblies, and BOMs; support design reviews.
• Build, assemble, modify prototypes and test equipment; perform functional testing.
• Provide hands-on mechanical support for test systems and equipment installation.
• Support maintenance planning, documentation, and cross-functional coordination.
