Job summary

Hologic, Inc. is seeking an Engineering Technician to support design, build, test, and troubleshoot prototype electromechanical systems and test equipment.

You will work from schematics and written instructions, perform diagnostic tasks, and help fabricate and assemble components. Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or Associate Degree preferred.
• 1–2 years of related experience preferred.
• Experience with electrical and electromechanical systems is desirable.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and documentation systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop understanding of products and equipment to design, build, test, maintain, and repair them.
• Perform reliability, environmental, compliance, investigative, and qualification testing on electrical systems.
• Design and rework cable/wire harnesses for testing and debugging.
• Solder components for PCBA prototype testing and support debugging activities.
• Set up tests, record data, and support engineering analysis.
• Operate laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes, microscopes, x-ray systems, and environmental chambers.
• Install/maintain mechanical and electrical test fixtures.
• Participate in troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
• Support lab operations, calibration, and material inventories.
• Create SOPs and contribute to process improvement.
